AnswerLine privacy policy
What we collect, why, and who helps us run the service. Last updated October 15, 2026.
- Who we are. AnswerLine is a service of Webb Digital Ventures LLC, Little River, SC. Contact: contact@getanswerline.net, (843) 417-0597, PO Box 86, Little River, SC 29566.
- What you give us when you sign up. The start form collects your shop name, website or Google Business link, greeting name, summary email, business phone number, phone carrier and phone type, when AnswerLine should answer, number preference, business hours, service area, services, jobs you don't take, how to handle new jobs, what counts as an emergency, an on-call or transfer number, common caller questions, and that you agreed to the client terms. We also record the time you sent it and your approximate country.
- What we collect from calls. When someone calls your AnswerLine number, the AI voice hears the call and we receive the caller's phone number and a transcript. We use the transcript to email you a call summary with the caller's name, issue, address, callback number and notes. Calls may be processed by our voice vendors to answer and summarize them. We do not keep call audio or transcripts ourselves beyond what is needed to deliver your summary.
- Billing. When billing applies, payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- How we use it. To set up and run your phone answering, send call summaries and setup emails, contact you about your account, prevent abuse (we count sign-ups per network address for about an hour), and improve answers. We do not sell your information or your callers' information.
- Who helps us run it. Cloudflare (website hosting, data storage in Cloudflare KV, and sending email), Twilio (phone numbers and call routing), xAI (the AI voice that answers calls), Stripe (billing) and Railway (call transfer routing). They process data for us to provide the service.
- Analytics and ads on this website. On getanswerline.net we use Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel to measure visits and ad results, including page views, demo-line clicks and completed sign-ups. These tools set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser. Opt out: Google Analytics opt-out, Meta ad settings, aboutads.info, or block cookies in your browser. Our own pages store one short note in your browser session so a sign-up is not counted twice.
- Text messages. AnswerLine sends text messages only to (a) clients who check the text consent box at sign-up, with a summary after each call, and (b) callers who call a client's number and agree on the call to a text, or who get one follow-up text after a missed call they placed. We do not send marketing texts and do not text anyone who has not called. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help, or email contact@getanswerline.net. We collect the mobile number, consent time and message content needed to send these texts, sent through Twilio. Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except service providers that help us deliver the messages (such as Twilio).
- How long we keep it. Sign-up details are kept while you are a client. Any caller details we hold are deleted on request after you cancel, as our client terms say.
- Your choices. Email us to see, correct or delete your information, or to stop marketing email. If you are a caller and want your details removed, email us with the number you called from and the business you called.
- Children. AnswerLine is a business service and is not meant for children under 13.
- Changes. If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for important changes, email current clients.
